Kaiba ended up being pulled into the Lab where he was subjected to horrors mean to extract "Light" via suffering. Stubborn, irascible, and noncompliant, he did everything in his power to try and gain an upper hand to the situation, even going so far as to hack into the system as frequently as possible. He wouldn't give up. He wouldn't lie down and take what was done to him. And then, one day, he left. Then returned. A different man -- one who understood the true purpose of this place, or so he says. Light Bringers are here solely to produce Light, and it is now his charge to make sure that not only himself and his peers -- the Enforcers -- contribute to his purpose, but that everyone else is made to do so as well. The puzzle of his soul remains incomplete. It seems that "Marik" has taken a very special interest in Kaiba, enough to bandage the wound he created and through Kaiba's resistance, a very different type of interest reared it's head. "Marik" likes it when they fight back, and proved that much by stealing a kiss. Yikes.
Kaiba will not admit that he feels any kind of fear -- perhaps trepidation in his presence. Certainly disgust. He wants nothing to do with the guy any longer, but that doesn't mean "Marik" doesn't want something to do with him, does it?

It seems that Yuugi has been here before, even before Kaiba showed up, and he oddly has memories of a different version of Kaiba from here, but not from their home. Seeing as this kind of situation has occurred before to others, Kaiba should take it in stride. However, he's instead massively insulted, and has reason to be! This Yuugi, or the other Yuugi, a Yuugi was the start of all his problems! He won't trust him, not until he gets to the bottom of it all. Until then...he'll take advantage of this Yuugi's kind nature and squeeze as much Light out of him as he can.

Despite this, secretly Kaiba is just as protective of Sunny as Sunny seems to be of him, and often skews deals in the teen's favor out of a mixed desire to repay debts and some sense of responsibility. He doesn't quite understand on an emotional level that he's using Sunny as a surrogate for his little brother, despite the fact that he, in fact, is the younger of the two.
They're not so different, really. Both of them are shitty siblings, both of them have hurt people with their actions, and both of them are prone to hallucination and erratic behavior. Perfect roommates indeed...

He thinks Chuuta is a loose cannon who can hardly be trusted, hypocritical and cruel in a way that he finds difficult to predict. Also Chuuta kicked him in the balls twice and he will forever hold that against him.
Even still, they can have their civil moments, however short-lived. Kaiba's temper and Chuuta's frank way of speaking just don't mesh.

He's seen her type--the ones who are loud in order to hide their insecurities--and he doesn't find it charming. That said, he tolerates her more now that they're both Enforcers, and doesn't attempt to set her off nearly as much as he might have before. In the process, he's found himself wondering at her actions, and why she, like him, has a habit of turning her Light-crafting in on herself?
...Not out of any sort of self-reflection. Ew. Gross.

Gesicht doesn't irritate him as much as any of the others, and he's likely pooled info with him willingly before. Nowadays though...there's not much dissemination of information, is there? Gesicht hasn't spoken to him openly since he revealed he was an Enforcer, and that's probably perfectly fine for both of them--not like Kaiba trusts most adults, after all.
